New York Jets
The New York Jets were founded in 1959, as a charter member of the American Football League. However, in 1959, they were known as the Titans of New York.
That name was short lived, as they changed to the New York Jets in 1963. The Jets joined the NFL during the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
The Jets haven’t won a Super Bowl but they did win the AFL-NFL World Championship Game (now known as Super Bowl III) in 1968 when they beat the Baltimore Colts.
The Jets are in the AFC East with the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Buffalo Bills. The Jets have never won an AFC championship, and have only won the AFC East twice (1998, 2002).
